Meet Our Owner
Pineville Pharmacy’s owner, Dr. Kishan Patel, moved to the United States to follow his American dream of becoming a successful pharmacist. Though he had most of his family in his home country of India, he had no greater mission than to move to the USA to become a healthcare provider. From early on, he knew he wanted to work in the healthcare field as he discovered a passion for empowering others to live healthy lives.
In 2008, Dr. Patel began his pharmacy career by working first as a pharmacy technician and then as an intern during his school years. His passion for medicine and health care only grew as did his aspiration to work at the ideal pharmacy. In 2013, Dr. Patel received his PharmD degree and began his work as a pharmacist at a major national chain pharmacy. He excelled in his profession through various roles he held, winning awards and receiving recognition from peers and management for his work.
In 2019, Dr. Patel decided to open his own independent community pharmacy, when he continued to notice that retail pharmacy was moving away from the values and purpose that should be intertwined with pharmaceutical care. Steve Jobs once said, “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” Dr. Patel has brought love to his work from the beginning. Now his focus is to do even greater work. He plans on doing this by serving the community he has called home for the past 13 years with a pharmacy whose core values are honesty, integrity, kindness, and care.
Dr. Patel is passionate about helping patients become and stay healthy, and he believes an independent pharmacy provides the freedom and means to do so. It opens the doors to unconventional approaches. It provides the time to explore solutions and provide services beyond traditional dispensing. Dr. Patel is building a pharmacy where our patients will have a unique experience — a pharmacy that will help reduce overall healthcare costs and provide exceptional quality of service by closing any gaps in care.
